    Weighed in today. Last time I weighed in was last week, I believe.

    Last weigh in: 186lbs

    This morning: 181lbs!!!???!!??!!!!

    Let’s just recap this awesomeness!!!

    Total loss: 37lbs

    No short cuts, no cheating, no starving, no quick fixes, no nothing! All done by hard work, healthy eating and exercise!

    I am almost halfway to my first GW!

    If I can do this than ANYONE CAN!!!!

    Diets are all wrong.

    A lot of people at my new job have noticed how I eat. They always ask me what diet I’m on.

    I AM NOT ON A DIET and seriously, if you want to be healthy, look radiant, have boundless energy, a positive attitude and a body that is strong and in shape then you shouldn’t be either!!!!

    I don’t restrict my calories, hell the only time I even consider calories is when I think I might not be getting enough.

    Bread is ok. Whole grain bread with fiber and no high fructose corn syrup.Sugar is ok. Honey, fruit, hell I even have a little brown sugar.Fat is good for you! Avocados are one of my favorite things to eat!

    I am not going for weight loss here. I can stand to lose some weight and it is an added bonus. But this weight loss is happening as a result of my focus on health. I could eat a freaking hamburger and fries everyday and lose weight if I wanted to. So why don’t I?

    Well, the reason I changed my life was more than wanting to be thin. I honestly never wanted to be thin anyway. I changed because I was tired of FEELING fat, tired of feeling bloated, heavy, sluggish, tired, depressed, and out of control. I wanted to feel bright, healthy, and full of life. In order to do that the main focus is HEALTH. Which means eating a balanced diet, one full of all the essential nutrients you need. A diet full of REAL food, WHOLE food.

    That’s not to say that from time to time I indulge in foods that are familiar to me, because I most certainly do.

    The reason I eat the way I do is because it makes me FEEL GOOD.

    And exercise. It might seem daunting at first, even a punishment. Believe me, getting to the point where you can see that exercise is much more than burning calories is when real excitement for life sets in. I exercise because it makes me feel capable, strong, and fucking good.

    Stop looking at diets. Stop thinking about calories. Stop focusing on weight. Get the bigger picture people, it changes your entire perspective on yourself and on life.

    Take care of your health and everything else falls into place.

    November Weigh In

    Last weigh in - 190.5lbs on September 30th 2011

    Today’s weigh in - 186lbs on November 1st 2011

    Starting weight - 218lbs 

    Makes my total loss so far - 32lbs

    Not a huge difference but it’s pretty amazing to say I’m in the 180s.

    Although not using the scale for October was nice I would say it actually worked against me as I nearly stopped focusing on progress altogether.

    I have learned that relying on the numbers can be unhealthy and can turn into an obsession but I have also learned that the scale is a healthy way to stay on track and to maintain motivation for my goals.

    I’ve never been obsessed with the scale anyway, I usually weigh in once every two weeks or so.

    Now it’s time for me to go outside and start sweating.

    why?

    look, you’re not going to gain a million pounds because you ate some ice cream. you’re not going to reverse all of your progress because you had that pizza. you’re not going to outgrow all of your clothes because you had some halloween candy this weekend.

    i’m not saying eat that shit everyday either.

    keep your habits in place and don’t forget about who you are NOW, not who you used to be. don’t get that shit confused.

    what i’m saying is your body is forgiving. it would be beneficial if you would train your mind to be forgiving as well.

    I bought these slacks in July 2010 when I started my hellhole job (thank god I’m not there anymore) and they fit me perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose. Around Christmas last year they were tight on me. On my way home from work I would have to unbutton them just to sit comfortably in my car. Now they are way too big and unflattering. I refer to them as my hammer pants. They are a US 16 btw but I don’t think that means much because sizes are so different between brands. I still have trouble fitting into some 16’s and even 18’s but then in other brands I can buy a 14. It doesn’t make any sense.

    Oh and there’s double progress here. I slipped these pants on underneath the patchwork dress I’m wearing in the picture. The dress used to fit me perfectly as well but now it’s just kind of big and baggy and the straps won’t even stay on my shoulders. Exciting because it shows progress, saddening because I don’t have the money for new clothes and I really liked that dress. :(

    Oblivious October

    I thought this was going to be easy, but I was wrong! lol

    I have already had the urge to pull out my scale twice since Friday to see if anything has changed. I believe the last time I weighed myself was last week…or maybe 1.5 weeks ago…not sure.

    I never use my scale daily but I do use it weekly or every other week. Ahhhh! Only 3 days into October!

    I was looking at myself in the mirror this morning and I have definitely noticed a change. Especially in my legs and torso. I look much more slim than I used to look and my body is beginning to form a sort of line (from the side view) instead of bubbles and bumps and such.

    I have quite a bit of lounge wear that is fitting me much better as well. Some things are fitting as they should instead of being tight and other things are clothes that I couldn’t even wear until now. So that’s good. :)

I am so thankful for the awesome community here on tumblr. It is so nice that I have people everywhere that want me to succeed.

Now I just have to follow my schedule for tomorrow! I am already feeling a little better today. Even though I was down on myself about my work out I am very glad that I did it. I have also been filling myself with healthy foods today and I know it’s helping my mood.

Only 4 more hours at work and then I can enjoy freedom until Tuesday morning.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. The weather is absolutely beautiful and perfectly autumn like here in Arkansas.

    Random Weigh In

    wttffhfhfhhfhff!!!!

    Last Wednesday I weighed in at 193lbs. Today I weighed in at 190.5lbs!!! That’s 2.5lbs!

    I’m not even sure how to react to this. So glad to see that I’m still making progress. :)

    So far I have lost a total of 27.5lbs. All through eating healthy, whole foods, NOT starving myself and working out with a healthy balance of cardio and weight lifting.

    Waaah

    Tumblr won’t update my “my goals” page. And it won’t delete it either, so the information IS NOT ACCURATEEEEEE!!!!

    Weighed in today, 193lbs. Super slow weight loss, but still steadily going down so I can’t complain. If things keep going like this I WILL get to my goal weight.

    Seriously need to start measuring myself because I do a lot of weight lifting and pounds alone ARE NOT a good measure for my progress.

    Will seriously be pushing myself to update my progress blog within the next few days. I am lazy and I’m sorry.
